Auckland is the centre of New Zealand padel. Five clubs, nine courts, and a growing community of players from complete beginners to competitive league regulars. Here's where to play.

Pacific Padel — Albany

The North Shore's padel destination. Four outdoor courts in Albany with a strong competitive scene including regular league nights and tournaments. The club has built one of the most active padel communities in the country, with players of all levels mixing through social events and graded leagues.

Courts are bookable through Playtomic. Racket hire available on-site. The venue runs beginner sessions on weekends for newcomers.

Remuera Rackets Club — Remuera

A traditional racket sports club that embraced padel early. Located in one of Auckland's established suburbs, Remuera Rackets added padel courts alongside their tennis and squash facilities. The membership model means a more structured environment, with coaching, competitive ladders, and club championships.

The pro shop stocks padel rackets and can offer fitting advice — useful if you're upgrading from a hire racket.

NZPADEL — Panmure

Auckland's eastern option. Located in Panmure, NZPADEL provides courts for the wider East Auckland area. The venue caters primarily to casual bookings and social groups, making it a relaxed entry point for people trying padel for the first time.

Browns Bay Padel — Browns Bay

The newest addition to Auckland's padel scene. Extended operating hours mean courts are available early morning and late evening, addressing one of the biggest pain points in Auckland padel — getting court time during peak demand.

Pacific Padel — Silverdale

Pacific Padel's second Auckland venue extends their reach further into the Hibiscus Coast and Rodney areas. The Silverdale location follows the same model as Albany — outdoor courts with a community-focused approach.

Booking Tips

Peak times (6-8pm weekdays) book out fast at all venues. If you're flexible, lunchtime slots offer the easiest availability and sometimes lower prices. Most clubs use Playtomic for bookings, so download the app to check real-time availability across all Auckland venues.

Court hire typically runs $48-60 per hour depending on the venue and time slot. Split four ways, that's $12-15 per person for 60 minutes of play.
